How To Choose A Business Opportunity?
Nov 5, 2009 Sales
Sometimes a new business opportunity is better than an established business opportunity, and other times not. Sometimes an exclusive and unique product is easier to market and sell, whilst other times it can be pure hell. Sometimes the best compensation plans are actually the worst. But how do you know? Research! Whatever business opportunity you are interested in… you should do your due diligence and ask yourself and the company some hard hitting questions that will reveal whether or not it’s one you should pursue.
In this day and age where everyone is so focussed to make money, and do it very quickly… you need to find out the total cost it is to you, and how long it will take to come back to you, and then turn into profit. This means you will need to take a closer look at product costs, shipping costs (if any), the compensation plan structure, the bonus structure, the retail sales commission, and other influencing factors. Take your time and ask questions that have otherwise not already been answered by the product or company tour that you have been directed to… don’t be afraid to get the truth out of people as that is key to building trust and rapport.
Running your own business has advantages and disadvantages, and it is your role as a business owner to evaluate these and come to a final decision on where and how your business is going. Forget the set-and-forget promises that are thrown around so freely around the internet, this is just baloney! You will need to work extremely hard to get started in the right direction, and you will need to train your team, and you will need to replace yourself with team leaders, and then you will need to watch your company and work on it, and really take care of it… then once you get to a point of automation and duplication, you will be cashing some huge coin… but it takes time and effort, nothing is going to simply fall into your lap (unless of-course you do nothing, expect everything, and get failure).
So take these mentioned questions and insights into the industry, and make the most off them! Before you embark on your home business venture, decide if you really want to do this. If you are committed, passionate, and willing to continually grow and increase your net worth… then by all means go right ahead! If you feel that it might be hard work, it will be! Most important point I can provide to you is that you should have fun with whatever decision you make… you only get one chance at this thing we call “life”, so choose wisely.
Are you willing to step out of the boat and walk on the water? Do you know what hard work is all about? Have you got a strong character? Do you have successful work habits? Are you persistent?
As talked about, take your time and do your due diligence on any business opportunity that might be presented to you. For instance, I know myself that herbal coffee is booming right now because it is awesome, exclusive, is easy to retail, is easy to enroll distributors, and does a great service to men and women globally in the love department.
