Are You Frustrated With Email Promotion?

Are you frustrated with your internet marketing efforts?
I understand. I have been working on my web business for about five years part time. I have some great looking sites, but getting traffic is a challenge.
Have you been told that selling through emails is the solution to internet marketing?
I did. It was almost at the beginning of my efforts at web marketing that I first read about email promotion. Only problem was that I learned you need a huge list. That I did not have.
Is it possible that we have been sold a bill of goods? Or, is it possible we need a few more secrets to make it work just right for us?
I think I may have found the missing ingredient. When it comes to email promotion, I have found a new element that works.
Yes, all the gurus will tell you that email marketing is the solution, but then they tell you about the “can spam” issue. Basically, unless you have your own acquired list developed painstakingly over months and months of giveaways, don’t do it.
By definition sending out unsolicited (no opt-in) emails is spam. People don’t want them. So, do not send them.
The situation then is this: we just cannot send out enough emails to make email promotion work like it is suppose to. Right?
Did you know it is perfectly legal to let someone else send out your email ad to their email list? It is not spam. Instead, it is content for the list owner.
Consider this. An online marketing service company has developed a double opt-in email list. They take my ad, and send it to their list. Suddenly, my ad is seen by millions.
I suppose there are many different ways to do this, but since I have always been told I needed my own list; I use this bulk email approach to build my list. I take my usual, opt-in offer and set it up to receive the responses from the bulk email promotion. I offer my free item, and thousands sign up on my list. Now I can legitimately market to them again and again at no additional cost.
From this point on, my email marketing offers real promise and the hope of significant profit. My emails are now from me. I can begin connecting with my email list members.
I try to follow all the customary guidelines when it comes to my emails just to be sure I do it right. I avoid extreme promise, words like free, deep discounts, and emails that are too long.
I try to always offer good content, positive encouragement, and opportunities. Every email I send has some kind of call to action. It may be an invitation to read an article on my website, or an offer to purchase something. But I believe my readers read with purpose and I want to satisfy their wants and needs.
